One of my big focuses lately has been upgrading my work stations and storage for my garage workshop. Having a dedicated and easily accessible station for my drills and chargers was something that definitely was high on the list. Before, I would keep them in their original storage carriers, and that just added unnecessary steps and time. So, making this station was my solution.

To start, I picked the space the unit would need to fit on my wall. Next, I decided on putting in 5 spots to hold tools, since I have 2 drills and 5 nailers. Above that, I made a small divided shelf to hold my most used driver and drill bits. Next to that is a dedicated area for the chargers. I only left enough space for two chargers to keep the cabinet a reasonable size, and also because it would be extremely rare for me to need to charge more batteries than that at the same time.  The last compartment of the unit was sized to fit my trim router and its accessories.

For this project, I decided to use butt joints and pocket holes to keep it simple, and still look good in the shop. My original plan was to have a cabinet door, but after seeing the unit, I liked it enough open that I decided to leave it that way.
